ReadableResume

ReadableResume has 20 free resume templates for Google Docs and Word. Each one comes with a matching cover letter and references page, in US Letter and A4. You copy any file to your own Google Drive in two clicks, with no sign-up on our site.

All layouts are one column, with no tables or text boxes, and use fonts that Google Docs, Windows and macOS all have. Every sample resume is downloaded as a PDF and read by OpenResume, an open-source resume parser, and each template page shows what it read. Jake's Resume, for example, gets 46 of 46 fields right. The test setup is public on GitHub, so anyone can rerun it.

There are also filled-in examples for 20 jobs, such as nurse and teacher, plus guides on resume fonts and formatting. If you want a resume rewritten for one job posting, the optional tailoring tool costs $4.99 per job, paid once.
